Racer 75 to my knowlege has only featured in one movie, but theres not many Virginia coasters who can say that at all!

This coaster was an opening day attraction at Kings Dominion and was orginially called "Rebel Yell", which it's still pretty commonly called that to be fair.

The coaster features two tracks so the trains can duel, in 1992 one half of the track was changed so the train ran backwards. This was again changed back in 2008 when the park was bought by Cedar Fair.

In my personal experience its VERY rare to see both sides racing nowadays, if you can catch a ride with both sides running count yourself lucky!

Rollercoaster (1977)

Racer 75's only movie credit that I know of! Revolution may steal the show but Racer 75 gets the most screen time!

Aerial view of Racer 75 in the movie Rollercoaster from the side, it's painted white and its next to a very large lake.

The movie follows an insurance adjuster, played by George Segal, unravling a nefarious plot by an unknown bomber who is trying to extort a million dollars from theme park owners. If they don't comply with his demands he blows up their rollercoasters!

Racer 75, aka the Rebel Yell, is pretty heavily featured in the middle of the movie. Our hero Harry Calder, played by George Segal, is forced to marathon this coaster by the movie's unnamed villain. If he doesn't the bomber has said he'll detonate a bomb that's somewhere in the park!

George Segal on Rebel Yell, he's holding a brown breifcase next to him with his elbow.A souvenir picture from the ride, George Segal is in the front row of the coaster, the front of the train says Rebel Yell

The scene with Harry riding Rebel Yell is the funniest part of the movie to me, I've never seen someone SO displeased to be riding front seat on a rollercoaster, and look at him casually holding the briefcase. You're going to lose that breifcase Harry! Hold onto that thing tighter!

This is a chore to him. For someone who does insurance for theme parks he sure hates being at them.
